Prof. G. Valušis elected to EARTO Executive Board

Following the vote in the European Association of Research and Technology Organizations (EARTO) General Assembly, it was announced that Center for Physical Sciences and Technology Director Gintaras Valušis had been elected a member of the EARTO Executive Board.

“We are delighted to have been evaluated and invited to work with 22 of Europe’s most influential research institutions. In total, the EARTO Association has more than 350 European research centres and institutes, whose main activities are focused on applied research and the creation and development of high-tech. Research organizations are admitted to EARTO only after a thorough professional examination of their scientific and technological activities. The EARTO Executive Board is composed of representatives of exceptionally active research centres.

Therefore, we accept the invitation to become a member of the EARTO Board and share responsibility for the association’s decision-making, scientific strategy and other activities not only as a high assessment of FTMC researchers’ achievements and high value-added technologies, but also as recognition by the international scientific community that the experience and scientific knowledge of our staff is of particular value and interest to other European science and technology institutions” – says FTMC director prof. Gintaras Valušis.
